EMPTINESS

Afraid to die, afraid to live --
I don't like life,
And it don't like me...
In the dark I can see
Many things clearly.
Life is everything.
Life is nothing.
Love is everything.
Love is nothing.

Why the emptiness within
When there can be so much
To fill one's soul?
Why can't one grasp that
With which to fill one's soul?
Perhaps because all is only emptiness --
And nothing lays within one's grasp.
